2016 Virtual 5k/10k/Fun Mile Series May Finish Line

Welcome to #FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About.

What is a Virtual Fun Mile/5k/10? This Virtual Fun Mile/5k/10k is organized online and FitReaders from all over the world can compete. Where it is different from a traditional Fun Mile/5K/10k is that you are responsible for completing the walk/run at any place you desire, at any time during the race timeframe that works for you.  You must complete one of the 3 races in one session:  1 mile is for those just starting out.  5k/10 are for those that are ready for a bigger push. For this series, each race will need to be completed between the first and last day of the month. You will need to take a picture at the end of the race (not of your face if you don’t want but your time, song list, ect) and post it either on FB, Twitter, or your check-in. Then add your name to the finish line below and what race you completed (in the comments) so that I can keep track for end of the year medals (for 5k/10k) and certificates (for Fun Mile). Grab your virtual ribbon so that you can display it proudly on your check-ins either on your blog, FB, or Twitter. If at the end of the year you have completed 10 of the 12 races–you will get a medal or certificate!

REMINDER: you most complete either a Mile, 5k, or 10k in one session. At the end of your session sign the linky below and leave which one you completed in the comment section!

  1. Janina

Finished my 5k just in time. It was the slowest 5k so far this year. Have to work harder to get better.

    • i’m 5 for 5 so far. Go me! I didn’t log all three distances (1 mile, 5K, 10K ) every month. But I’ve at least done a 1 mile and 5K every time. Hope to get my 10K for May in this weekend.

  2. I got both a 5K and a 10K in for May already…I’m sure I’ll be getting more in, but I’m psyched that I was able to get both in in the first week!!!

  3. We just had a cool front come through and it’s probably the last of the season so I’m going to try to get a 5k in tomorrow!
