First Thought when Finished: Matt & Laney really worked in Sweet Revenge by Rebecca Zanetti even though in the beginning I wanted to throttle them both!

Quick Thoughts: Gonna admit that Sweet Revenge took a bit to hook me in BUT once you hit the 1/4 mark it was off the hook. I really liked the push/pull with Matt & Laney. They both had reasons to be angry. They both had things to hide. They both were justified in their positions but it was great watching them break through the barriers. The overall story moved a long nicely but I am beginning to worry about our boys. I mean I think it should all work out but nothing like cutting it down to the wire. The action, story, romance, and characters all delivered in Sweet Revenge. Now I need to get to book 3!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated by: Karen White /Length: 12 hrs and 30 mins

Karen does an excellent job with this series. She has a great voice for action and romance. Her sense of urgency in the right areas just works so well. Her male voices are strong. Her women are great. Overall just an enjoyable listen.

  1. haha! I always say this, Grab It, Read It, Love It, Review It. LOL!

Yum. Because the guy on the cover deserves a ”yum” uttered.

You’re lucky to find great narrators. My experiences with audio books didn’t go well. :/

    Lovely review!!

    • I have a group of narrators that I can always depend on 🙂 Karen White is one of those–she does these, Jill Shalvis Animal Mag series, and a few more. She is excellent!

    • I know right? That scene never happened so I am guessing he was just trying to woo her at the time of this crazy get-up 🙂 However, he woo’d me 🙂

  2. It’s always nice once you hit that point where you are sucked in and can’t stop listening. Another new series for me to research.

  3. I loved this series. All four books are great. I just started the Dark Protector series on audio. I’m so glad that Audible kept this author narrator pair together.

  4. I’m so glad you liked it, Felicia! I’m running a giveaway right now of Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protector series. Just answer the question: would you rather be a shifter, a vampire or a witch in the comment section for a chance to win one of these audiobooks.

    • I am having trouble with the 3rd book but I think it is a mood thing (the narration is great but the leads are bugging me). I set it aside and will come back to it 🙂

  5. I love this series, too, Felicia, and you are definitely right to worry about our boys… I think I have one of these on audio, so I should definitely try to listen to it as well. A good narrator can make that experience breath-taking 🙂
Have a great Monday, a fantastic week and happy reading / listening.
