First Thought when Finished: Reagen sure knows how to get herself into a whole heap of trouble but it sure is fun watching her get out of it in Killer in Crinolines!
Story Thoughts: Cozy mysteries with a southern leaning are always some of my favorites. Mostly because I know how nosy (not in a bad way) women in the south can be. They will go to the end of the earth for their friends and it isn’t a stretch for me to believe that includes trying to solve a murder. Duffy does a really great job of balancing southern charm and just the right amount of trouble to make Killer in Crinolines a very fun read. I really wish these would come out in audio because I bet they would be super fun to listen too.
Character Thoughts: Reagen is a fantastic leading lady. She is funny, resourceful, and has a great cast of characters surrounding her. She does have a penchant for trouble but always seems to get herself out of it. I was really happy with Aunt Kiki in Killer in Crinolines. She was right there step for step this time. She is my favorite character so I loved her getting more time in this one! Then there was Boone! I am so impressed with how slowly Duffy is taking their relationship (even friendship). Boone is swoon-worthy and eventually they will figure it out. Right now though it is fun watching the back and forth!
Final Thoughts: I can’t wait till the next one comes out! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite cozy mystery series.

Thanks for the terrific review, Felicia! You made my day. I’m totally thrilled you enjoyed Killer and all the characters. I love Savannah, a Southern Belle at heart and have the pearls and baton to prove it. And, yes, I can even twirl the thing. 🙂
Thanks again and hope you have a lovely summer.
Hugs, Duffy
Oh I really have to read that first book. Especially since this book sounds like it rocks.
