Kate Evans teaches fourth grade science in Sunshine, the place she's always called home. Dreaming of graduate school and a happily-ever-after, she's desperate to break out of the monotony of Sunshine. Luckily, a certain sexy man has just come back into her life.

First Thought when Finished: Rumor Has It is my favorite in the Animal Magnetism series so far.

Overall Thoughts:I loved how awkward Kate was and how guarded Griffin happened to be. This book just hit all my contemporary romance triggers and I enjoyed every minute of it. I also love that this book really delved into PTSD and how it can impact a person. I thought Jill tackled that with brilliance and didn’t make it a handicap for Griffin. All around this was a great book!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated by Karen White/Length 9 hrs and 17 mins.

I enjoy Karen’s narration of the Animal Magnetism series. I have enjoyed every one and look forward to the next one! I think she a great match with Jill’s writing.

  1. Oh yes! This is going right on my wish list right away!
I just listened to 2 YA audiobooks back to back, so I”m ready for a romantic listen. I will be able to take a break from my re-listen of the Outlander series with this one.
    Thank you!

  2. I love this cover and I think it’s because of the dogs LOL! I haven’t read any of this series yet but this one does sound good. Can it be read as a standalone?

  3. OMGosh!! A five star review! You loved it?!?! I’ve never read her before but I’m thinking I might just have to now!!! Your reading taste is pretty close to mine so I have a feeling I’ll love it, too. Plus the little sis’ best friend – LOVE IT!!!

Dang! You’re reading Reaver AND Dark Witch!!! Jealous!!! I’m buying Reaver this week (yay!!)

  4. This is one of my favourite series by Jill Shalvis. Read rather than listened to audio as Audible doesn’t have it for my neck of the woods. Something to do with publishing rights. But I loved this one and will at some time do a reread of this series.

  5. I like seeing that five star rating to kick off the New Year. I have been meaning to try this author. I like that she focuses on PTSD. Happy New Year!
