Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione

Date Read: March 9, 2013

Genre: PNR, Romance

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancé wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.

Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

I am going to be doing a love letter series to the Lords of Deliverance series! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves PNR! This will be every Thursday till I have professed my love for all 4 books.

“That was some weird shit. A hospital run by demons, with a nursery run by a werewolf, a vampire and an ex-angel. There was a book or a TV show in there somewhere.”― Larissa Ione, Immortal Rider

Love Letter to Limos/Famine and Arik

Dear Limos: I love strong women in stories especially when they are the “hero” and done right. You are such a strong person and extremely loyal to your family. I think you became a better person when you realized that Arik was important to you even though you didn’t want him to be. I am glad that you found a man who could be your equal but still let you be yourself. *high-five* girlfriend on that belt finally meeting its match!

Dear Arik: I think you are one of the strongest men in this series. It takes a real man to understand and come to terms with an extremely powerful woman. I don’t know how you kept a hold of your sanity as much as you did during your torture but I am glad you did! Flicka needed her Mr.Ed. You are a strong, independent, and masculine hero who deserved someone worthy of your love! Thank you for rescuing Limos from a match made in hell! *high-five* on getting past that belt!

Dear Story: Thank you so much for taking a chance on reverse roles. It isn’t often that we actually get to see that in PNR! While I do think there were a few moments of “Oh My Gosh—NOOOOO” in this story–in the end I think Larissa did right by the characters. Limos and Arik will forever be one of my favorite “outside of the box” couples.

“There’s no sense drawing attention to yourself, Li.”

“Hellooooo. I’m a Horseman of the Apocalypse, and I’m betrothed to the most infamous, most powerful demon in existence. I couldn’t draw more attention to myself if I wore Lady Gaga’s meat dress to a PETA convention.”― Larissa Ione, Immortal Rider

  1. I haven’t read this series yet Felicia! I read her Demonica series and loved it, but I haven’t started these books yet. I need to do that. And I really want to meet this out of the box couple:) And Arik is tortured? You know I love tortured and damaged characters!

  2. I loved Arik and Limos too. You are really making me want to start reading them all over again with these reviews. *sigh* I’ll continue with the Demonica series and see if I can hold off…. I don’t know though 😉

  3. I like this love letter form of review. I swear I need to start this series. I am fascinated by the four horseman of the Apocalypse and I can’t wait to meet all them It sounds like a wicked good time!

  4. Book Savvy Babe

I just grabbed the audio of this one today! I still have a ways to go on Acheron (haven’t had too much listening time lately), but I can’t wait to get to it. Book Savvy Babe
