Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris was a lovely book just not my favorite of the series.  It was a nice filler novel and as with each one you learn a little bit more about the world.

I think I love this book more each time I read it (yes I am on my 6th re-read)! I actually think having read the rest of the series makes it even better. This book really introduces the vampire way of life: who they report too, how they are ran, what the expectations of them in those roles are, and just how much they bend the rules. Without giving to much away, you are also introduced more into the Supe world to prep you for the books to come. The 2nd book in the Sookie Stackhouse series! Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris: This one is a little quicker to read than the first. I like the fact that she just delves into the story. There is more Eric, so automatically I like it better than the first one. This one also has more laugh out loud moments (lycra anyone?). I will say for those that watch the show and just now reading the books: they are different! The Godrick story is different, the Dallas story different, and the Meanade story is very different! …more The 2nd book in the Sookie Stackhouse series! Happy Hour of the Damned by Mark Henry: I read this book and it has had me in stitches. I would say it is Sex and the City of the dead except a little grosser (yep zombies eat people) and more leaning toward Samantha type talk but it is fantastically funny so far!! It skips around a bit much but the story gets told!!!

Wicked by Gregory Maguire: I was not a big fan of this book and really wanted to like it. It was however a bit to political for me. The characters were not as flushed out as I would have liked and the story drug a bit. Author Website: http://www.gregorymaguire.com/
