#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

There is still time to commit to exercise for September

This week I didn’t hit step goal once.  I had a head cold Mon-Wed and yesterday I got up and did 1.5 miles with Leslie Sanson. This morning I am going to do 2 miles before my dad gets into town. Hopefully by Monday I have worked back to being fully back on track 🙂

  1. I haven’t been very good about the exercise portion of my diet. I’ve been really good about watching what I eat and avoiding the refined sugar. I only slipped once in the past month. I just haven’t felt very good, so going home and exercising hasn’t worked out for me. This weekend, I plan to try to walk on my lunch breaks instead of working through lunch. I need the break and it will get my exercise back in. Hope you are feeling better.

  2. Hope you’re feeling better! I’m thinking I’m going to have to dig out my Leslie Sansone walking dvd’s soon – work is so busy lately that I haven’t really had time to make it to the gym. Good reminder!!!

  3. I hope you’re rid of your cold now, Felicia! I’ve actually started ‘counting’ steps, but I’m not ready to participate in FitReaders just yet. Last week, I walked A LOT! Monday-Wednesday in London had me over 20’000 steps per day, and many, many floors up and down as well. I could even feel the muscles in my thighs 😀

  4. I’ve been doing good with my activities, it’s the diet part that I need follow through with. I love food too much! lol

    I hope you’re feeling better. It’s hard to work out when you’re not at your best. Have you tried doing hot yoga? The steam/heat can help clear it out.

  5. I’ve done a little every day – 10/15 minutes of something. I’ve been doing a lot of Jessica Smith or Popsugar 10 minute workouts. Sometimes combining a few 5 minute ones. It helps with my exercise ruts.

  6. Boo on the head cold. I hope it goes away soon. I really had to push myself to get my steps this week. Just didn’t feel the motivation.
