The Mayans aren't the only ones with a 2012 prophecy...

Long before recorded history, there was a Keetoowah warrior so feared that everyone trembled before his wrath. Only a brutal betrayal by the one closest to him could defeat him. But not even death was the end of a man so strong. The Time Untime approaches...

Kateri Avani has been plagued her entire life with dreams she doesn't understand: images of places she's never been and of a
man she's never seen. Her quest for answers has driven her to Las Vegas where she hopes to finally silence the demons in her mind. What she never anticipates is coming face to face with the warrior who has haunted her her entire life. One who belongs to a world the scientist in her refuses to believe is real.

Ren Waya came back from the dead to keep the prophecy he began from coming true and ending the world. For thousands of years, he has fought the same evil that once possessed him. But now that evil has found the one person he can't fight. The one person who, against his will, holds the most sacred part of him: his heart. But if he doesn't kill Kateri, the deadliest of evils will reemerge and destroy everyone else on the planet. It was a sacrifice he made once. Will he be able to make it again?

Overall Rating: 4.25
Story Rating: 4.00
Character Rating: 4.50

Audio Rating: 4.50 (not part of the overall rating)

First Thought when Finished: Time Untime made me swear there has been a resurgence in the newest Dark Hunter books that I am totally on-board with!

Story Thoughts: History, Science, Hot Man, Smart Woman, Explosive Action, and HUMOR = Total Win! Seriously, I enjoyed this story so darn much from beginning to end. I like when a character has to overcome their beliefs to get to the truth. Also, usually not a fan of epilogues with huge time jumps but in this case it really, really worked πŸ™‚

Character Thoughts: Oh how I loved Kateri and Ren! First, their names are just so freaking cool. Second, their back stories are made of amazing. I really am falling in love with the world again and that always happens through the characters. I know that there are people mentioned in this story that I hope we get to see a lot of in the future!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Holter Graham / Length: 10 hrs and 20 mins

Holter knocked it out of the park again! I am just a fan of his narration of stories and he has a particular knack for action. He keeps you on the edge of your seat by pacing the authors work excellently. Highly recommend his narration when you come across it!

Final Thoughts: STYX! What I can’t wait!

  1. Ran out and bought this one. I’ve enjoyed the Dark Hunter series but stopped around Acheron… Still, love this world and can’t wait to dive back into it with those awesome-sounding characters!

  2. I swear I need to start this series from the beginning. Still from where I started, I do think I could get into this one and I’m glad you enjoyed it so much. I might just start where I left off (which I think is this book) and go forward before I go back. Yes, I know… I was never accused of being normal. πŸ˜›

  3. 22??!!! I have one of the books from the series but everyone says I need to read them in order. The total # intimidates me lol

  4. I really enjoyed this one too. I was especially pleased with the appearance Sundown and Nick at the end. I LOVE this series!
