Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. Quick Thoughts: I have to admit that it wasn’t till the last book that I really liked Adam but now he is just awesome. I loved having part of this story told from his POV (even if it made the timeline a little topsy/turvy) because it showed even more insight into his character. This whole edition was a bit of a wild ride up to the very end. The only thing I will say is pay close attention to everything because it all comes into play in the last few chapters. I can’t wait for the next one πŸ™‚

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Lorelei King / George Newbern , Length: 11 hrs and 17 mins

This was different than the rest of the series because George joined to do Adam’s POV chapters. Now I love George, I don’t think I have ever listened to anything by him that I didn’t fall in love with. Same here BUT it took me like two chapters to get him as Adam. After that I was good to go. Lorelei is Mercy to me and always will be. She brought her A game in this outing and really worked well with George! Bring on the next one!!!!!!!

  1. Seems everyone is still very happy with this series!

I’ve only read book one (I’ve read 3 of the Alpha Omega series) but need to catch up. (As I fall farther behind lol)

  2. I am behind on this series and haven’t done it on audio b/c Lorelei is Charley Davidson to me and I’ve been told it can be jarring to hear her as both characters. So, I’ll finish one series before I go to her. I cannot wait to catch up even if I just read them all. πŸ˜€

  3. I also came to feel like I knew Adam just in the last book or so. I liked him, because Mercy did but couldn’t say I felt him. Now I feel him. Does King do both Charley Davidson and Mercy? I haven’t listened to either so that’s something for me to consider for the future. I have issues with connecting a voice and then not liking it with someone else. Anne

    • That was kind of me, I liked him but I wasn’t in love with him the way Mercy was. In fact, I kept thinking I don’t know why he/she fit. The last 2 books have changed that. This one particularly. I really loved that we saw how many times in his head he went Alpha but then pulled back to just trust in her abilities. It really showed that he is a lot more Alpha than I was giving him credit for πŸ™‚

  4. What?!? You didn’t like Adam from the start??? lol I have to read book #9 before I can read this one but I’m elated at the thought of getting Adam’s POV. I’m happy you enjoyed this one and that it solidified your love for Adam. πŸ˜‰

    • I KNOW—it just doesn’t seem right. Oddly the two books you haven’t read are the ones that made me fall for him πŸ™‚ I am still more of a Charles fan LOL
