Hi y’all! Welcome to the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Challenge hosted by The Book Nympho and I. We decided to take the Snagged @ The Library weekly posts and turn it into a year long challenge!  So are you ready to ease the punch to your pocket book, support authors, support your local library, and have some fun?

Reading Challenge Details:

• Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015. You can join any time.
• The goal is to read at least twelve (12) books from the library. Twelve should be easy, that’s one a month. While twelve is the minimum, there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you.
• Any format will work for this challenge (print, ebook or audio) as long as you checked it out from the library it counts.
• Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
• Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads. The goal is to support your local library and save money.
• To join this challenge, grab the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge button and post this reading challenge on your blog to track your progress. Please include a link back to this sign-up post so others can join the reading challenge too. You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads (so as long as you have a dedicated shelf and Felicia has created a Goodreads group), Shelfari (I’ve created a Shelfari group. You can join and post your progress within the group), or BookLikes, etc., for the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge. The point of linking up is to have a place where people can see what you’re reading.

  1. Dewey Decimal: read 12 books
  2. Thrifty Reader: read 24 books
  3. Overdrive Junkie: read 36 books
  4. Stalking the Bookstacks: read 50+ books

I’m going with Overdrive Junkie  (36).
I will be tagging all my books with Snagged @ The Library

  1. Ok…I added my name an my goodreads link to the page. Since I pretty much only do audio from the library I’m going for the Thrifty Reader level and hoping to achieve somewhere between that and Overdrive Junkie!

  2. Glad I found this. I read a lot from the library (both the academic library I work at as a librarian) and my local public library (gotta get the more fluffy stuff someplace). Looking forward to see what other folks read over the year.

    Best, and keep on blogging.

  3. Thanks for hosting. I feed my non fiction history addiction at the library and I always check out more than I can read.Thank goodness for the ability to renew!

  4. Out of economic necessity, the majority of my reading material comes from the library these days. But I really don’t need a reason to support my local branch. I’m aiming to set my library card on fire again this year. (in a good way, of course)

  5. I have always wanted to do a kind of library project/challenge, but I could never think of one, besides reading all the books from a shelf or something. I get ALL my audiobooks from the library, so I am going to join in. I LOVE this idea! I utilize the library a lot.

  6. Summer

I need to start blogging. I briefly dabbled in it a year ago. Until then, I signed up for the challenge with a link to my FB profile LOL.

  7. Andrea (aka rokinrev)

Hey, I will go for Thrifty Reader. I’m doing my third GoodReads and hooking up with Sheila for first book of the Year and her Library Challenge. Also doing Book Vixen’s outdo yourself which ties in with GoodReads. This year, I read 210 books ( goal was 200) Outdo myself/ GoodReads goal for 2015 is 225. Signed on for my second ReadYour Freebies( did almost 100 this year). On Sheila’s recommendation gonna sign up for your blog too. I have no blog….I am a human with no life (sniff, sad face, feel sorry for me yet?)

  8. I am not sure what I am doing. I use my library a lot but I signing up for Dewy as I have number of books from other sources to read. I like to keep one library book to read when my Kindle is charging. I am not sure how to link my site to this.

    • Love this challenge! I’ve been using the library more and more these days, and this challenge is a perfect fit! I signed up for the Dewey Decimal level because I’m sure it’s doable with all the other reading I’ll be doing. Thanks for hosting!
