Book Blog Walkers: Weekly Check-in Sept 12 2014

Hey Book Blog Walkers! It is time for your weekly check-in! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of walking (or other exercise)? I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it! Even if it is one step at a time ๐Ÿ™‚

This week was good for me! I have been put on limited exercise meaning I can’t do anything to intense for to long. However, I have been given the greenlight to do 15 min of walking every hour so I have been doing it. Save for one day I hit my 6000 step goal and then some! So while I am not getting my exercise in the way I am used to, I am going for #noexcuses . This is my 2nd week of Weight Watchers. The first week I lost 3lbs and the 2ndย  week I lost none. So I am going to look back at my journal and see what foods might have tripped me up. It is a learning process to figure out what works for my thyroid and what doesn’t but I am determined. I think I am going to have to go on an 85% Paleo type of eating pattern. I tend to do better with more natural food in my diet than yogurts (and that type) of food. Even though calorie wise they are pretty equal. Eat and learn ๐Ÿ™‚

So how are y’all doing? Check in and let me know!

  1. I was wondering how your tailbone was doing (that was you who fell on it, right?!). After you’ve done WW a couple more weeks, it may be worth sitting down with one of the counselors and having them look over your journals. Sometimes they can spot things that we don’t notice. Good luck and keep up #noexcuses!

Now, I need to go for my walk/jog! LOL

  2. I love that WW is working for you. Keep up the good work. I got in tons of steps this week while on vacation in DC. Great town, though I’m glad I don’t live here. I hope I can come back to see more. You could spend a month in this town just doing touristy stuff and still not see everything.

  3. No fun being put on restrictions – but sounds like you’re not letting it keep you down! Congrats on WW loss – even if you didn’t lose the 2nd week, you also didn’t gain, so that’s good right? Good luck this week ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. My brother and sister-in-law just did that Whole-30 diet for 30 days and he lost 10 lbs on it. My husband and I were talking about it and it sounds a lot like the Paleo diet and we were talking about doing something similar. My problem is my husband loves to cook and I love to eat!!! I guess it’s all about balance and knowing the right foods to eat.

It looks like you are off to a great start!!!
