#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in July 24 2015

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week I exceeded my goals in exercise but didn’t make them with food ( will do better next week).

My daily goal for July is 7000 steps except for pre and post race days (5000)/also 30 min of focused activity.

  • Friday: 20 min light walk–step goal (pre-race day) exceeded: 6153 /fitbit recorded 0 active min
  • Saturday: 5k- step goal obliterated: 17030 / fitbit recorded 94 active min/ official race time (per chip) 46:32
  • Sunday: 20 min light walk-step goal exceeded: 7027 / fitbit recorded 11 active minutes
  • Monday: 30 min Leslie S-step goal met: 7887 /fitbit recorded 32 active minutes
  • Tuesday: 30 min Leslie S-step goal exceeded: 8936 / fitbit recorded 34 active minutes
  • Wednesday: 30 min Dance Party-step goal exceeded: 8172 / fitbit recorded 39 active minutes
  • Thursday: 30 min walking-step goal met as of 4pm time of posting: 7876 /fitbit recorded 47 active minutes

I am fairly certain I will be ready to move up to a goal of 8000 steps per day in August ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Woohoo you had an awesome week. Way to go on race day. I was slightly under target this week but I might pay more attention to active minutes. Some days that have been lower in steps have been way higher in active minutes and that’s good too hey. I’ve been so good with healthy eating and last week I craved sweet stuff like you wouldn’t believe, like I was possessed lol … coming off the stress of the week before maybe? *sigh* I’m fortunate weight-wise I don’t have an issue but when you’re eating healthy for health issues and to reduce inflammation I’m bummed the wheels fell off … oh well, dusting myself off lol

  2. You had a great week!!! I am awful when it comes to tracking food – I just love to it and my husband is such an amazing cook – not a good combo! I tend to stay away from the scale for that reason ๐Ÿ™‚ As long as I stay active, I’m happy!

  3. Great job with the race. I lost some this week, which is great. I think the fact that I’ve been able to ride not only one, but both horses everyday has helped. I gave them the day off today.

  4. I am so happy that I was able to hit over 9,000 steps a couple of days this week ! That is HUGE for me, especially with a bum leg from my tendency to fall so much due to lack of coordination and equilibrium. I really hope to increase my steps (and coordination) , since I’ve found a new track to walk at my new school. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Holy fantastic week, Batman!! Even with missing on the food, you had a great week! You raced, you needed to feed your body to recover. That’s going to happen! Ever since I started running about a month and a half ago, I’ve only maybe 1-2 pounds! My body is craving the protein and food! It’s annoying!!!! My legs and butt look better but I still got my beer belly. Oh, well, I hide it well, right?!?!?!?!?! C’mon, feed my ego (bwahahahahahahah)

    How you doin’ ? (said in my best Joey voice)…
