#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in Jan 30 2015

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Hey FitReaders! It is time for your weekly check-in (feel free to use whatever day you want to check-in–these posts will be going up on Fridays)! How are you doing this week? Did you get a day, 2 days, 3 days of exercise? Are you on track with your other health goals! I am so very proud of you for making the effort to get heart healthy and putting exercise in your life. We can do it!

This week was pretty darn good exercise and calorie wise. Clothes fitting better but the pounds still aren’t off. I will do my final weigh in on Saturday morning–that will be my bench mark if I lost the 2 pounds I wanted to this month.

  • Thursday: 10091
  • Friday: 10612
  • Saturday: 10632
  • Sunday: 2737
  • Monday: 8397
  • Tuesday: 8364
  • Wednesday: 9908

Average: 8677 <–right on target! If I can maintain this for 3 months I will start aiming for an average of 9000!

  1. Georgia

I think I was a few steps short due to my classroom pool time on Saturday. I did manage to get in several runs in last week and got my fitbit charge! I love it. I now know I need to be getting more sleep. I have done really well with my whole30. I haven’t lost anymore weight since the initial 4lbs but my clothes are fitting much better. and my body fat has gone back down. I am happy overall with my progress.

  2. You had an amazing week. Great job on the step counts. I will have my up to that one day. I work in a position which has me sitting down most of the time. I have to start walking my Cane Corso more days, but the weather has been rough here on certain days. I have me doing my PiYo workouts, which are amazing. My husband is starting to notice a change and he doesn’t like it. He is all for me staying the weight I’m at, but this mama wants to be back to my original weight before I had my 2nd little girl. I work with a bunch of runners at my workplace, so I plan on one day running with them, but for now I’m sticking with my PiYo workouts. They run 5 miles a day and I can’t even run 1 mile. I slacked once I got out of the Navy in 2011.
Hope you have another amazing week. =)

  4. Good week on the step count for me. I’m trying to find ways to add in more, whether it’s taking the long way ’round to get places at work, or just going up and down all of the aisles at the store even if I don’t need anything in them.

My current job requires me being on my feet and moving quite a bit. I’m starting a new position in March that will be a desk job! I’m kind of nervous about how I’m going to be able to get my steps in once that starts, but where there’s a will…

Great job, everyone, on all you accomplished this week!

  5. You had a great week – way to go on all those steps!!! I always think that the way clothes fit is a better indication that I’m heading in the right direction than movement on the scale. I’m just starting to get there myself. I haven’t been tracking my food, but definitely have upped my water intake each day. It’s the little changes that seem to have a lasting impact.

  6. You are rockin’ it! Those are great numbers and hopefully you will see a change on the scale! I always love it when my clothes start fitting better. Such a great reward!

  7. I’ve done pretty good this week counting my calories with MyFitnessPal app and making it workout classes and doing the ab challenge at home.

I weighed in Monday at work and I lost 2 lbs in a week. I’m hoping I can keep it up with 2 lbs a week. I want to loose 40lbs by the end of the year. I’d love to loose 20 by May.

  8. Looks like you had a great week! And yay for the clothes fitting better, even if the scale might not be showing it yet. The fit of clothes can often be a better indicator than the scale anyway. 😀

  9. Good for you! I started getting back on track this week since my return from the cruise. I have worked out 4 days since Monday. I gave up pop and have been using My Fitness Pal to count calories. I feel good – energetic and less stressed and groggy 🙂

  10. Checking in! Great work on the step count! I still haven’t gotten a fitbit. I want to.

We were buried in snow this week. But I found new ways to get my groove on!
