I actually managed to get some wonderful “just because I want too” vacation reading done while I was out of town! So instead of writing up long reviews of each one, I am just going to give my overall thoughts.

Vacation Review: What a great summertime read I Dream of Genies turned out to be. I pretty much giggled from beginning to end and mostly at the expense of Eden. She was feisty, sassy, brazen, and such an accident waiting to happen. You wanted all good things to happen to her but you knew she was going to trip up along the way. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what to make of Matt. He seemed a little to uptight for Eden but slowly they kind of met each other in the middle with their personalities.
Overall, if you are looking for a fun read with a talking cat then this is your book. I have to say I was also impressed with the research that Judi put into the mythology surrounding Genies. I like when authors go that extra mile!

I really enjoyed this book as well – a great departure from my "normal" reading, and I am really looking forward to reading the follow up book later this year. Meeting Judi (and winner her gift bag) was such a highlight at AAD! Thanks for the review!
I know from Fennell her books are full of hidden humor, but I obviously missed that the main characters name was Eden. HA! I just LOVE Judi!
Oh yes! I think I have this waiting on my kindle. Yes, I'm that organized… I think! LOL I'm so glad this one is a giggler! Also love the research in a good book.
Ooo I would love to read this book, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I loved watching that ancient TV show with that guy from Dallas, Larry whatshisname …
