Vampires, werewolves, mages–the Others are very real, and wreaking havoc in Shiarra Waynest’s life. But now, she’s returning the favor…
Once, she was one of the good guys–or as close as a New York P.I. can get. Then Shiarra Waynest was drawn into the world of the Others. Every faction has its own loyalties and agenda. And Shia’s recent betrayal by her ex-boyfriend means that she may be on the verge of becoming a rogue werewolf at the next full moon.
Of course, with all the threats against her, Shia’s not sure she’ll live long enough to find out. The enigmatic vampire Royce wants her back in his clutches, as do two powerful werewolf packs, along with the police. Instead of going into hiding, Shia is enlisting the aid of her enchanted hunter’s belt and every dirty P.I. trick she knows. If she’s going down, she’ll take out as many of her enemies as she can–and hope that in the process, she keeps whatever humanity she has left…

First thought when finished: I think I may be blushing just a wee little bit!
What I Loved: After feeling a bit frustrated last book with the whole “Chaz” situation I was glad to see that our girl Shi was handling it in her own way. By that, I mean she was kicking major *ss! It is hard to review this without giving away the good parts so here is what I will say: This was the best of the 4 books. It had parts that will make you scream (the line between killing/kicking ass) and other parts that made you wish there was more talking it out (Chaz/Shi–can’t say more)!
What I Liked: I actually liked getting to know the White Hats more in this book. I didn’t really like them in the 2nd book (go figure) but they were much more likable in this one. I do think there is still a ton of story to tell around them and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I do think they are major factor in this series even being human.
What made me go Huh?: Not enough of my “GTFO” group. Sorry I want a spinoff of just them! Also while I know some will love the end *evil laugh* it was a bit rushed for me. Then again–extreme situations and all (think Speed the movie)!
Final Thought: Dang it now I have to wait for the next book!

This series is near the top of my TBR list… but when will I have time?
Time! I know what that is—it is that magical element that I never seem to possess LOL
I’ve never read any of her book but your review is intriguing! : )
I think this is the first time I’ve heard of this series, but I have to admit…I’m intrigued! 🙂
This sounds like a series for me! Adding to my list 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it so much! I am looking forward to reading the book myself soon.
So you are saying that I need to get into this series? I know! I know! 😉 I wanna see you blush!
So… white hats… as in hackers?
The White Hats are humans who are opposed to those of supernatural persuasions….you won’t like them in the beginning 🙂
You would like this one!
The White Hats are likable? That’s hard to imagine. Doooooood, I so need to catch up!
Oh you do just for the last chapter 🙂 Just saying!
Blushing? I want details!! Was it the smex? It was, wasn’t it. Mmm–blush-worthy smexy times. Yay!
Maybe! I’m not telling LOL
It was a bit rushed, but as you say extreme situation 🙂
Want more!!!
Lol, i hated the white hats before but they sure grew on me
I tell you I downright almost liked them in this book 🙂
This book sounds good to me…..:) And I want her top and jacket, I might scare people wearing it, but thats sexy….:D LOL
I really have enjoyed this series! I would love to have that jacket–of course here in Texas it gets cold enough to wear it about once in a blue moon
So I read an interview the other day and it happened to mention what happened with Chaz and Shia. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I’m definitely going to need more details from you and wait for you to tell me how things work out before I can start this series. I’m all anxious just thinking about it and I haven’t even read a page:)
Email sent! Yep I was screaming—literally screaming at book 3!
I want to blush a wee bit. I love these covers. I’ve got the first one tagged to seek out.
Her pricing is good too. I looked last week and all the backlist is under $5 a piece and I am pretty sure you can get them at the library!
