Welcome to Foodie Fridays! This is a chance to combine two my favorite things: reading and cooking. I am going to put a linky in case anyone else want to participate. How I am going to do Foodie Fridays: each week I will be highlighting a recipe (or two) from either a cookbook or food blogger that I follow. I am going to make it and share with you my experience
This week I bring you The Sweet Magnolias Cookbook by Sherryl Woods with Chef Todd Wohlford
The next three weeks I will be bringing you recipes from The Sweet Magnolias Cookbook by Sherryl Woods with Chef Teddi Wholford. I am really loving this cookbook so far and I think you will too :) They did a pretty good job of combining Southern foods with real ingredients that you will have in your kitchen. The few ingredients that are “unusual” they tell you how to get or make! I find that extremely helpful in a cookbook! It is something that I always look for when recommending a cookbook to a friend!
This week I am going to share the Gingerbread Scones recipe which I will be trying this weekend. I will try to update this post with pictures (I suck at taking food pictures)!
