From Goodreads: Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she is the best- but she does not know if even she is good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, Elena knows failure is not an option—even if the task is impossible.
Because this time, it’s not a wayward vamp she has to track. It’s an archangel gone bad.
The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other—and pull her to the razor’s edge of passion. Even if the hunt does not destroy her, succumbing to Raphael’s seductive touch just might. For when archangels play, mortals break

First Thought when Finished: As I said on Twitter “Dang it all to Heck but now I feel the need to read these back to back”.
What I Loved: I am going to say it–I may be in denial (Amanda I may need to change my answer) about not liking Angel based Romance series. I have actually read quite a few in the last year that I really loved and this is no exception. Seriously, I shouldn’t have loved this book–first it is more of a UF than a PNR and it is about Angels. However, I totally loved it despite both of things. I loved that the UF part is more like J. Frost type (a couple together) and the Angel part was just Fan-FREAKING-tastic world building. LOVED LOVED LOVED it!
What I Liked: I am really liking getting to know all the characters (there are a quite a few) in little bits and pieces. Though I already have a slight crush on Jason so I want to know more!
What made me go huh?: Nothing really since I think my one little hangup is dealt with in book 2.
Audio Review: Narrated by Justine Eyre, this wasn’t my favorite audiobook but it wasn’t bad either. It just felt a little rushed at times while she was reading. That is sometimes not the narrator but a time constraint.
Final Thought: I highly recommend this book to anyone who isn’t in denial (and even if you are) about loving Angel based books 🙂

I just purchased books 1-4 last week! I’m going to use one of my next months credits to snag book 5 that just released this month! I’m so anxious to dive into this series! Finally! Love Audible.com!! 😀
LOL! I have to say that Angels are my least favorite Paranormal Characters. That being said I guess after this, Terry Garey, and Kristina Douglas I need refine my "I don't like" to "I'm just picky" about them 🙂
You hate angel based books? How did I not know this? I love this series!!!On another front….i just wrote the intro to an angel based paranormal book…maybe I should rethink that. hehe! although they are not really angels….they just have wings. ;o) smiles…
LOL you are totally funny! I can't believe how many freaking books I bought……grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
We are the balance of the universe—you read YA for me and I read adult for you. We can just live vicariously through each other 🙂
I think you will LOVE them 😉 They are a little more down your alley than mine!!!
I would have sworn that I don't like Angel stories a year ago but alas I seem to like the ones I like (Terry Garey, Kristina Douglas, and now NS) *sigh*
Raphael is definitely not a nice angel LOL 🙂
This is the second book I have read by her (I read the first book in the Psy-Changling series). The other book was good but this one was so much better!
LOL I loved Rafael too and his band of merry men. However I think I will just say that I am more open to books about Angels now 🙂
Glad to hear you liked it! I've been debating on whether or not to pick this one up. Also, just in case anyone would like to know, you can <a href="http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/angels-blood-nalini-singh/1100308903?ean=9780425226926&itm=1&usri=angels+blood" rel="nofollow">currently get this book on B&N for $3.99. It's on sale. 🙂 Lol.
HAHAHAHA!!!! Duuuude, I MISS ADULT books. *sad face*
I have the first 3 on my tbr waiting for me to read them back to back. Oh yes… can't wait. I'm glad to hear it is more UF. I love UF with a side of PNR. Yes… *rubs hands together* I can't wait to dive in!
Angels and vampires just make me roll my eyes these days. However, I do find myself still picking them up and enjoying them. And Nalini Singh is a writer I really enjoy reading. Might have to check this series out!
Oh I love angel books..well books like this one. No fun with nice angels
I've never read anything by NG, but Jenny swears she rocks and apparently you think so as well. I'm still saying it, I'm not a fan of the angels, but maybe NG will change my mind. The characters sound pretty awesome!
I already read AB, and I'm still in denial about liking angels, but I will admit to loving Rafael. LOL I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
