More Information:Playing naughty or nice...
Fiona Wilder knows all about falling in lust. Love? That's another story. Determined not to repeat past mistakes, the single mom and cupcake shop owner is focused on walking the straight and narrow. But trouble has a way of finding her. And this time it comes in the form of a smoking hot firefighter who knows all the delicious ways to ignite her bad-girl fuse.
Can lead to heartbreak...
Firefighter Mike Halsey learned long ago that playing with fire just gets you burned. He's put his demons behind him, and if there's one line he won't cross, it's getting involved with his best friend's ex. But when fate throws him in the path of the beautiful, strong, and off-limits Fiona, will he be able to fight their attraction? Or will he willingly go down in flames?
Or a sweet surprise!

First Thought when Finished: Sweet Surprise by Candis Terry was a sweet little contemporary romance with just a bit of heat. I liked the characters and the story. The leads were a little “too much hung up on their issues” for me (aka I didn’t quite buy (originally a typo on my part) their personal push/pull issues) but otherwise totally enjoyable read! One that I would recommend. Also one I think most people would have total fun with. In other words, read it!

During her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup), and Minerva a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Foster Fail). Gathering with friends and family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.

Sometimes the issue drama goes on a little too long. Even so this sounds cute.
In contemporary I admit my “patience” is low just because it would get on my nerves in real life.
There are days I also just want something sweet and fun and this sounds perfect for those days.
I think this series is just overall fun (at least the 2 I have read)–small town romance.
A fun in-between book is sometimes just what we need!
It is 🙂 🙂
Not sure if this one is for me, but sounds cute enough I might enjoy it when I want something fun.
It was a fun read! Sweet light small town romance.
Every so often I’m in the mood for a mindless read, and this book sounds like an excellent candidate. I don’t really need an excuse to drink, and listen, but this one’s on you. Or, at least that’s what I’ll tell my husband when he asks me where my bottle of wine went.
It was fun! You can always blame me–tell the hubby he can raise a glass too.
Sounds cute enough 🙂
It was cute!
