Snagged @ The Library: Mira Grant, Tahereh Mafi, Aavery Aames

This week I snagged these books from Frisco Public Library, Plano Public Library, and The Colony Public Library. If you unsure of what kind of awesome things are offered by the library system please check out my post: Blogger Confession Library + Online Content = Greatness

Frisco Public Library: 2 books (1 read, 1 reading)

parasite

A decade in the future, humanity thrives in the absence of sickness and disease.

We owe our good health to a humble parasite – a genetically engineered tapeworm developed by the pioneering SymboGen Corporation. When implanted, the tapeworm protects us from illness, boosts our immune system – even secretes designer drugs. It’s been successful beyond the scientists’ wildest dreams. Now, years on, almost every human being has a SymboGen tapeworm living within them.

But these parasites are getting restless. They want their own lives…and will do anything to get them.

it’s almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She’s finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam’s life.

Plano Public Library: 1 Ebook

Days of Wine

Murder, like Roquefort, stinks…

Cheese Shop owner Charlotte Bessette’s life seems quieter than ever with her fiancé out of town and her cousin Matthew and his children out of the house. But before she can put up her feet and enjoy a glass of chardonnay, Matthew asks her to play host to Noelle Adams, a bright sommelier visiting to help grow business for the local winery.

An affable wine aficionado, Noelle is paired well with the cheese expert Charlotte—but something seems to be troubling the secretive houseguest, and Charlotte’s life is upended when she finds the sparkling woman dead. Between Noelle’s hotheaded ex,  the cagey owners of the winery, its jaded manager, and a wily reporter, Charlotte has her pick of suspects, but she needs to act fast—this is a mystery that only gets more dangerous with age.

  1. Awesome haul! I really want to try read Shatter Me sometime. It’s been on my TBR list for too long. I actually just found out that my library has an online catalogue for ebooks and audio, i am quite excited to check that out! Since our libraries really do kinda suck..

  2. I was not a fan of Shatter Me so I don’t think I will continue that series. I still have my ARC of Parasite to read and I must get to it soon. Once again a great snag at the library.
