When this Dom falls hard, he will do anything to protect the woman he loves.
Elias St John has lived a life most people wouldn’t believe. An Aussie by birth, he has found his way to the Big Island working as the right hand man to Joe Kaheaku. When his boss dies and leaves the ranch to Eli and Joe’s niece Crysta Miller, Eli finds himself more than a little attracted to her.

After finding her fiancé in bed with another woman and helping her father through his illness, Crysta is ready for a new start. The offer of the ranch far away from home is perfect. The only problem she has is with Eli who constantly tells her what to do. When an argument turns into a passionate kiss, both of them get more than they were expecting.

Eli finds himself completely enthralled with Crysta as his submissive. As seemingly simple accidents turn deadly, Eli realizes that someone is bent on destroying the ranch by any means possible—even murder.

Shout Out Saturday: A Little Harmless Ride (Harmless #9) by Melissa Schroeder (Non-Audiobook)

Shout Out Saturday is where I post the ratings and quick thoughts of the paperbacks and ebooks I read. Since I have gone to an audiobook blog, I feel these books deserve some attention too!

Read for Fun (Kindle)
Overall Rating: 4.50
Story Rating: 4.00
Character Rating: 5.00

First Thought when Finished: Eli was possibly the best Dom I have ever read because he was so different!

Story Thoughts: A Little Harmless Ride at the core (to me) was about finding your way in life after tragedy. Emotionally, the ride that Eli and Crysta needed to take both individually and together was heart-string pulling. The action and adventure played well with the family drama and the story was engaging from beginning to end.

Character Thoughts: My favorite “Dom” leading men have always been the ones that are a little different. The ones that draw you in because their demeanor is not one outright power but one of the absolute gentleman that you could trust inside and outside the “play” to do what is right by the leading ladies. I feel that Eli is the epitome of those strengths. His immediate reaction to Crysta hit all the right emotional and physical levels for me. I do believe he knocked Micah off as my favorite male in the series so far! Needless to say, I adored Crysta and Eli’s love story! It really was a winner all around. Plus, the smexy times were super smexy because I wanted them to have it all. Doesn’t that always make a huge difference in the end?

Final Thoughts: Great addition to the Harmless series and gave me a new favorite male character!
