#instareview Ride Hard by Laura Kaye /Narrated by Abby Crandon (Read for Fun/Purchased on Audible) : It is funny the things I would defend in real life are not things I find sexy to read. In this case 15 year age difference which was glaringly obvious to me a lot while listening. Overall I love the premise of this series and look forward to reading the rest. I liked the action and the characters individually so I am sure the rest will have romances that I will love. This gets a 3.5 because outside the romance I liked it. A note on the narration : Abby is good so I think it was just this character but she sounded really young. That was a bit distracting. She did really well with the guys. #bookshots via Instagram http://ift.tt/2a4mES2

  1. Interesting – it’s actually kind of impressive to me that the author managed to make the narrator sound so authentically young that she becomes annoying!

  2. I actually really loved this one! The characters were so great in this one and I only like a handful of MC romance, and this one is part of that category. But I did like that it connects to the Hard Ink Series. I did like the idea that this club tries to help those women in need though. Definitely different from any MC I have ever read for sure.

    • I loved the club! Their goals are awesome. I even liked the characters individually–I just couldn’t get into their romance. That being said, I did love the action πŸ™‚ I don’t read a lot of MCs (at least ones that aren’t ex-military)

  3. Now that I’m trying to date, I’m not sure if I’m okay with a 15 year age difference. Definitely not someone that younger than I am, as for older, I’m unsure too. Unless it’s Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise maybe? lol

    • I don’t always have a problem with the age difference if they have similar life experience aka if the young one is an old soul or the older one acts like they are younger. In this case though, she was young in a lot of ways and he had lead a very hard life. I just couldn’t see it going long term (though I am sure that there are cases where it does).
