Charlotte Sutherland was in love with her brother-in-law’s cousin, Julian West, but when he joined the army to fight Napoleon, she married the Marquess of Hadley. She didn’t love Hadley as she did Julian and feels guilty over his accidental death from a fall off his horse. She avoids her family by staying to herself and her 3 widowed friends. Her sister and brother-in-law, Ellie and Cam, are very concerned over the places she and her friends go and don’t understand why she won’t come with them to the country estate.

Wonderful Christmas story! I really enjoyed it.

Hal Stuart, Earl of Redbridge, enjoys being a bachelor, but lately feels like he’s missing something. His sister, Connie, [Her Enemy at the Altar] is happily married to Aaron Wincanton and they have 2 daughters. Hal and Aaron love to bet on things and the loser has to muck out the winner’s stable. While at a Christmas party Aaron challenges Hal to steal 5 kisses by Twelfth Night from a woman Aaron chooses. Aaron’s choice is Lady Elizabeth Wilding.

Christi has written a lot of very good books but this series (Sinful Brides) has been my favorite along with “My Lady of Deception” (Brethren of the Lords). This book is my favorite of the series, so far.

This is the newest in the Waltz with a Rogue series of novellas. I’ve read them all and this one is my favorite. I don’t give a lot of novellas 5 stars but this one deserves it. The hero and heroine will tear your heart out.

So unusual that all 4 novellas in this book are 5 stars. I loved them all! I will not write too much as I do not like to spoil the stories.
