I enjoyed this book much more than I enjoyed the first one in the series. It was a fun read and Glory is growing on me as a lead character. I still think the fun is in her talking dog and friends. It did a good job of keeping you interested in what was going to happen to all of them. The only thing was the ending was a little rushed but I am hoping that is because the story carries on in the next book.
Series: Glory St. Clair
Real Vampires Have Curves by Gerry Bartlett: I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read that reminded me a little bit of Bridget Jones meets SATC set in Austin, TX. The lead character is a real woman with curves, body issues, super skinny friends, a hot ex (that would so totally be my type), and dating issues galore. You throw in the fact that someone has it out for the Vampires in Austin, there is an over-protective body guard talking dog (not sure he really is just a dog), some friends with their own issues, and trying to get her business off the group—Glory has got her hands full. I giggled through most of this book and while I thought her relationship with some characters were forced (Damien); on a whole I was please with the flow of the story.
