Seize the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon: I really enjoyed Val/Tabs book. I think I find myself loving the books that bring back characters from the past but not in a way that overwhelms the main couple in the book. In this one they resolved some of the outstanding issues that you knew were just a misunderstanding. It also advanced the story and kept you turning the page till you found out how it all worked out. There were parts that made me giggle, sniffle, and go oh my gosh. Author Website:  http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/

Stroke of Midnight by Sherrilyn Kenyon: I thought this was a good short story but I am just not a fan of books in anthologies. I read them because they are part of the overall series but I think they are often rushed. I didn’t feel like I had much invested in the leads (if they had been introduced in other books maybe but this was not the case) so while I was happy it all worked out for them I didn’t really feel connected to them. I thought the Ash/Simi at Dragon Con parts were cute though! Author Website: http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/

Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon: I really enjoyed Vane and Brides story. I thought it was funny, exciting, sweet, and showed that a romance doesn’t have to be about typical gal/guy but about those of us that fall in that other category. I liked the family aspect and learning more about the “were” community. Can’t wait to see more of them in the books to come!   Author Website: http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/

I had to give this book 5 stars because I actually cried 3 different times in the reading of the book. Books do not often draw me in enough where I actually cry but this one truly does. I thought the ending was a little rushed and I was sad at the outcome for one couple. The humor was spot on especially after all the boys from the first 4 books in this series got together. It was a bit confusing in the beginning until you find out the book is running in tandem with the two behind it. Here is the thing with this book—I actually really enjoyed all the Zarek, Astrid, “Dog”, and Simi sections (which should have been the main part of the book). However, too much time spent with Artemis—I really like her in small doses. I hope that we get more Jess in the future (though looking through her book list not yet) and Spawn is great!
