Michael Stafford won gold medals in dressage with the British Olympic Team and as an individual. He was on top of the world with a beautiful fiancée, Emma, and a new farm of his own. A year later, his fiancé has dumped him and the owner of the stallion he rode has decided to put the horse out to stud. His friend and fellow rider, Lionel, has learned that the owner of a German stallion, Tempest, is looking for a new rider to show Tempest.

Read for Review (Edelweiss)
Overall Rating: 5.00

Hurts to Love You wraps up the Forbidden Hearts series with: a wedding (or two!), the revelation of even more Kane/Chandler family secrets, and a lovely romance between Eve and Gabe. While it is definitely possible to read and enjoy Eve and Gabe’s relationship as a standalone, I really feel like you need to read the first two books in the series to get the full impact of the revelations and events in this book.

NOTE: These are books I have read and rated this year but didn’t review. Sometimes I like to read just for fun! This time it was Coming Home series by Harper Sloan. Book 1 from the Library and Books 2 & 3 for Review.

Overall Thoughts: I read this series while on vacation and really enjoyed it! The characters were all uniquely compelling in their own ways. I liked the friendship, brother/sister dynamics, and love stories. Book 3 was my favorite but they were all worth reading! I will read Harper Sloan again in the future.
