Read for Review (Publisher Copy) Overall Rating: 5.00 What a wonderful start to a new series! I loved it. Fletcher Pryde, Duke of Greycourt aka Grey, has learned that his stepfather, the only father he really knew, has died. He travels to Lincolnshire to support his mother, Lydia, half-brother Sheridan and the rest of the family which includes cousins Beatrice Wolfe and her brother Joshua who was injured in war. Sheridan believes his father may have been murdered and wants Grey’s help to solve. To help his mother he agrees to stay at Armitage Hall. She decides he must teach his sister, Lady Gwyn, and Beatrice to dance. Grey thinks Beatrice is hiding something and is determined to find out. He’s particularly wary of Joshua. He falls for her, but won’t marry her or will she change his mind? There is so much going on in this “can’t put it down” book and I won’t spoil it. I appreciate the author’s originality as it’s wonderful to read something different. I can’t wait for the other brothers and sisters to get their HEA! I was given an ARC by the publisher at an author/reader event and no one asked me to […]

I have been waiting for Isobel Dounreay Lochlannach to grow up and have her own HEA. She stole many scenes in her mother and aunts’ books. I’m not sure her grandfather appreciated her arrows in his library books. Now grown, her mother has decided she needs a London season. Isobel disagrees, but at least her best friend, Catriona, is going to London also.

I started reading this book and couldn’t put it down. This is the second book in Shana Galen’s The Survivors series. You don’t need to have read the first one, but some of the characters in that book appear in this one.

I love this series. This is Aulay MacKenzie’s HEA that doesn’t start out that way. Aulay is the sea captain of his family, now down to one ship. Not long after leaving port for Amsterdam, he comes across a sinking ship and rescues the survivors and some of their cargo. Who then attack him and his crew.
