First Thought when Finished: I thought Crave the Night by Lara Adrian was another excellent addition to the series. I did want Nathan to get out of his head a little more but overall I really liked it (finished in one day).

Hi Y’all! It is November and I am bringing back the Month of Thanks. I had so much fun doing this last year that I thought I would recycle the program again this year.   Each day I will highlight one book from 2013 that really stuck with me and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone (or book) that I love. Read for Review (Edelweiss) Overall Rating :4.50 Story Rating :4.50 Character Rating :4.50 First thought when finished : I will admit at the beginning I was a little scared of the time jump but in the end it is a brave new world that I love and totally embrace. What I Loved: As a long time fan of the series I was wondering if I could get on board with all the sudden seeing the kiddos “all grown up”. I didn’t need to worry though because I was quickly sucked into the mayhem. This is the breed but with a new twist! I am totally on board and counting down to the next one 🙂 Add to your goodreads […]

Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love. I am thankful to Lara Adrian and her Midnight Breed Series.  This year brought Chase’s story in Darker After Midnight and what a game changer that book turned out to be.  I know that we are all anxiously counting down to next year when Edge of Dawn comes out.  Personally I can’t wait to see what this means to the Breed and their mates! The climactic novel in Lara Adrian’s New York Times bestselling Midnight Breed series—and her hardcover debut—Darker After Midnight invites readers to enter a thrillingly sensual world where danger meets desire. In the dark of night, a […]

Read for Fun (Kindle) Overall Rating: 4.50 Story Rating: 4.50 Character Rating: 4.50 Shades of Midnight by Lara Adrian: This has to be my 2nd favorite book in the series. I really loved Kade which surprised me because before this he really didn’t grab my attention. Granted he was a late character introduction into the series but his friend Brock stood out more (BTW his book will be coming out in Fall 2010 I found out). So it was a pleasant surprise that I was able to get into this book almost from the beginning. Without giving anything away this book was set in Alaska, which after being able to visit that beautiful state was much more vivid to me in the book. She did a great job of flushing out the characters and having a back story that seemed to really fit. She was able to weave in the on-going Ancient and Dragos storyline without letting it take over the book. I was a little disappointed that the rest of the guys were in it so little and that the rest of the breedmates were not in it at all. Overall this was a very enjoyable read! Great escapism […]

Ashes of Midnight by Lara Adrian: Ok I have to say I was a little disappointed that this was not about one of the warriors though he is almost one of them. I do like how the story is progressing with Dragos and the Ancient. I like how all the characters are important to the progression of the story and how you get little updates as they go along. I really am looking forward to the next book! Author Website: http://www.laraadrian.com
