Jonathan Maberry

I think it is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Jonathan Maberry. Particularly this year marked the end of Rot & Ruin for me (*sad face* I put off reading the last one till this year) and another V-Wars Compilation (listen on audiobook–trust me). While V-Wars is really edited by Jonathan and written by a pluthera of FANTASTIC authors–I have to admit I probably would have steered clear if his name wasn’t on it. However the V-Wars, after this latest set of stories, is turning into a can’t miss for me. If you are new to Jonathan Maberry then I suggest starting with Dead of Night then Fall of Night which are two of my FAVORITE books by him. They kind of fall into the center of his Joe Ledger and Rot & Ruin series (they are all kind of connected) but will give you a taste of what to expect from him. I love Joe Ledger which is great for Fringe Thriller fans (another series you MUST hit up on audio as Ray Porter knocks it out of the park) and Rot & Ruin which is YA technically but the kids are old souls (brilliantly narrated by Brian Hutchinson). So basically I am saying go read Jonathan Maberry!

Audio Rating: 4.50 (not part of the overall rating)

First Thought when Finished: This is the second set of V-Wars stories that I have listened too and I am fascinated by them. This one particularly delved into the different types of “V’s” and that appealed to the history lover in me (great cultural and ethnic tie-ins).
