Read It File It (short review): Long Hot Texas Summer by Carolyn Brown is one of those books that just leave you with a smile on your face. The 2nd chance romance really works because Loretta & Jackson were smoking hot together. Be aware to enjoy this you must not mind a deep Texas twang & a bit of old-fashioned ideas. If you love those things then this may be the read for you!

What I Loved: Growing up in West Texas this book felt like a story of people that I could actually know. I could identify so many personalities from my life and think, yep that could really happen. I enjoyed all the little quips and the story of family. Holt made my heart go a little fluttery because of what a stand up guy he was.

My Review: I thought this was a very sweet romance especially from Rye’s POV! I really liked Rye and thought he was the perfect Cowboy leading man. Seriously, he was the kind of man that most women would swoon over and I had no problem warming up to him. It took me a little longer to warm up to Austin but eventually she won me over.
