From Goodreads: The tougher they are, the harder they fall…
Professional mercenary Dare Macintosh lives by one hard and fast rule: business should never be personal. If a cause appeals to him and the price is right, he’ll take the mission he’s offered. But then the lovely Molly Alexander asks him to help her track down the men who’d had her kidnapped—and for the first time, Dare’s tempted to combine work with pleasure.
Fiercely independent, Molly vows to trust no one until she’s uncovered the truth. Could the enemy be her powerful, estranged father? The ex-fiancé who still holds a grudge? Or the not-so-shy fan of her bestselling novels? As the danger heats up around them, the only anchor Molly has is Dare himself. But what she feels for him just might be the most frightening thing of all…

Note: I don’t read a lot of romantic suspense but a few friends suggested this series to me. I am so very glad that they did because I enjoyed this book immensely. I am also looking forward to the rest of the series.
What I Loved: Molly’s determined strength and attitude. I know not everyone will love how tough Molly was (or pretended to be when she wasn’t) but I thought it worked very well for her character. I also think it was what made her perfect for Dare. He needed someone who could hold it together even when they felt like falling apart. Let’s also talk about how much I LOVED Dare. He was strong, smart, lethal, and in some ways very much out of his element once he started caring for Molly. I will admit I swooned a few times!
What I Liked: Chris to me was the perfect friend to Dare. I really liked the humor and caring this character brought to the story. Natalie and Jett were fantastic also and I am going to get the anthology that their story is told in.
Complaints: None
Why I gave it a 4: I enjoyed this book from cover to cover. It was a nice balance of a love story and a bit of a mystery. The action is not much in this book and I think it worked for this story.
Who I would recommend it too: Romantic Suspense readers

When You Dare
Trace of Fever

I've been a huge fan of Lori Foster from her very early days and I'm so excited to see her flourish more and more each year.Keep it up Lori and bravo on this new book :)Another perfect review Ms Felicia and will hunt this one to place next to my Foster collection.
Nice review. I hope to get to try one of her books one day.
I just finished this one and LOVED it:) Dare was absolutely delicious, I couldn't get enough of him. I liked Molly's toughness as well, I think it worked in the context of them as a couple and she never overdid it I don't think. I just started Trace of Fever and am loving it as well. Such a great series:)
I'm on the second book now. It is good too! Love this series!
