From Goodreads: In this scorching new series, Kresley Cole delivers “devilishly passionate sex and fascinating characters” (Romantic Times), leading readers into a new world of wicked sensuality!

A vampire soldier weary of life…
Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire–a nightmare in his mind–against his will. Burdened with hatred and alone for ages, he sees little reason to live. Until an exquisite, fey creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead.

A valkyrie assassin dispatched to destroy him…
When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow–accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters Sebastian, her feelings–particularly lust–emerge multiplied. For the first time, she’s unable to complete a kill.

Competitors in a legendary hunt…
The course will take them through ancient tombs and catacombs, seeking relics around the world, and the prize for victory is powerful enough for Kaderin to change history and prevent her sisters’ deaths. Sebastian competes as well, and begins winning–her. But when forced to choose between Sebastian and reuniting her family, how can Kaderin live without either?

What I Loved: I really loved the romance between Bastian and Katya because I thought it was unique.  She had most of the “guy” issues and he knew what he wanted but kept saying the wrong things.  Don’t get me wrong, Sebastian Wroth is all man and wonderful one at that.  He had all the angst, troubles, and inner turmoil that good Paranormal Alpha Male’s have.  The story of the Hie was also enjoyable.  It really was like the Amazing Race Paranormal Style and made for some very fun moments in the story (aka lots of action, humor, and thrilling parts).

What I Liked:  Getting to see more of the Valkyrie!  Up to this point, I was just OK about this series but now I am really enjoying it.  The sisters are great and we got to see more of their world.  It was also nice catching up with the couples from the first two stories.

Complaints: None

Why I gave it 4:  This was a fun read and didn’t include any of the issues I had with the first 2 books.  It was well written and the romance was unique.

Who I would recommend it too: Paranormal Romance Readers.
