From Goodreads: Angel Crawford is a loser. Living with her alcoholic deadbeat dad in the swamps of southern Louisiana, she’s a high school dropout with a pill habit and a criminal record who’s been fired from more crap jobs than she can count. Now downward spiral her life has taken. That is, until the day she wakes up in the remembers being in an horrible car crash, anonymous letter telling her there’s a job that it’s an offer she doesn’t dare refuse. a brand new addiction: an overpowering who decapitates his prey–just when she’s hungriest Angel’s going to have to grow up fast if she wants to keep this job and stay in one piece. Because if she doesn’t, she’s dead meat. Literally

NOTE: I am going to forgo my normal review and divide this one down a little different. This was a fantastic Zombie read that I would recommend to anyone.
Mystery: Yes Y’all, My Life as a White Trash Zombie has a little mystery in it. Take it from a person who reads Mysteries/Thrillers that this one was really well done. I honestly didn’t figure it out until she did. Also, the secondary mystery of who turned her was fantastically done also. The whole darn thing was just so well planned out.
Zombies: Gotta love them! I mean these aren’t the typical rotting zombies and I liked it. Lets just say that Zombies are monsters with sometimes mushy hearts (that was a semi-quote from the book). Oh but don’t worry there are still BRAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNNS involved.
Characters: I think most of the characters in this story were so well flushed out that you felt like part of the world. Made for a very enjoyable reading experience.
Why I gave it a 4.5: It was Zombie-rrific and a very good summer read!

This is such an amazing one — I'm so stoaked everyone likes it!! Yay 4.5 stars! π
I still haven't gotten this one yet, but I'm going to get it! I've wanted it ever since I saw Dan's rendition of the cover and who could resist the title. Now with you and Ashley's rec… I needs it!Oh and so glad the search party worked. ;D
5! Oh now… get me to the bookstore ASAP!
It does sound like an interesting story…but that cover squicks me out!
Loved this review! You gave it 4.5 stars which means it must have been great! It's sitting on my shelf, nipping at the other zombie books, waiting patiently to be read…
WIN!!! I liked this one too!!! Mel has put out a search party for you!!! Miss you! <3
Thanks for the review. I've not found a zombie book I've like more than a 3 so far, but this one sounds intriguing. Cool!
hmmm, everyone keeps raving about this book, but the story just doesn't appeal to me. BUT you all keep making me second-guess whether or not I should try it. I usually agree with you about pretty much everything…. Great review! smiles…
I knew I really wanted to read this one. I'm curious about these different type of zombies you mentioned. Sounds like a riot! π
I picked this book up based on your rating (and seeing it elsewhere on the web). Can't wait to start it!
I agree with you – it was a good book. I liked the way she handled the whole zombie things too, twisted it, made it a bit more interesting than the regular shuffling brain dead thing. π
I bought this. How could I not with a cover like that. I so totally want that chicks hair! It is floating around towards the top of my TBR pile. Can't wait to read it.
