Review: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison (Rating 4.75 Wine Glasses) #toberemo

From Goodreads: Half-human and half-wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful – and passionate – of the Elder races.

As the most feared and respected of the Wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they’ve ignited in each other.

Pia knows she must repay Dragos for her trespass, but refuses to become his slave – although she cannot deny wanting him, body and soul ..

Overall Rating: 4.75
Story Rating: 4.75
Character Rating: 5.00

NOTE: You are looking at the 4.75 and wondering why not a 5? It took 4 chapters for the book to click for me but once it did, I loved Pia/Dragos love story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Paranormal Romances.

What I Loved: Dragos almost from the beginning. It was so much fun watching this caveman neanderthal dragon wrestle with his feeling towards Pia. I laughed so many times at him having to honestly ask “what did I do?” or “what did I say?”. Pia was a great counterpart to Dragos. She was strong, understanding, and stubborn when needed. Together they are one of the stronger romantic couples I have read. I loved Graydon! He was the best “fill-in” friend ever and his bromance with Rune was fun. I have a soft spot in my heart for Graydon the Gryphon! Tricks and Tiago’s moment gave us a great glimpse at what is coming with these two and I can’t wait! Really all of the characters were very strongly written and lovable in their own ways. Thea did a great job at balancing out the main couple with just enough story for the rest of the characters that you felt connected to them. I, for one, want to know more about each and every one of them.

What I Liked: The action, story, pacing, and introduction of the characters that will be in the series was done in a fantastic way. I really did just enjoy everything else about the book!

Complaints: None

Why I gave it a 4.75: This was a strong, solid, out of this world beginning to what I think will become a must-read series for me. I am going to go out on a limb and say I will look forward to it as much as I do the Midnight Breed Series by Lara Adrian. If you know me, then you know I *heart* that series and can give this series no higher praise!

Wow Felicia! I bought this book a while back but never felt in a rush to read it. Now it is a MUST, especially since you place it up there with MB, which I also LOVE! The mix of characters sounds great! I remember it took me a while to get into The Iron Duke, but once I did, I couldn't get enough of Mina and Rhys, so I know that feeling you described. Exciting review. I think I'll read DB over the weekend. πŸ™‚

I just finished it and I am having a hard time rating it a 5 also. I did love it, but it had it moments that I didn't enjoy. Great review.

This book was so damn good! It knocked my socks off. I loved Dragos but my fave is Graydon. I'm sad that we won't be getting his book anytime soon. πŸ™
