About the Book: Before his mission began, he went home. 24 hours to say goodbye to his twin sister.

Instead he found her. A girl that was nothing like the one he thought he knew.

They have 24 hours. 24 hours before he deploys on an extremely dangerous mission. 24 hours together in a freak West Texas snowstorm. 24 hours that will have to get them both through the awful next year.

When the resident good-girl decides to take on the visiting bad-boy, 24 hours is all it takes to change their lives forever.

This is the story of the 24 hours that no one knew ever occurredโ€ฆuntil now.

The timeline of this novella is set before the When the Mission Ends trilogy occurs, but this book is actually meant to be read between Book #2, Operation: Endeavor, and Book #3, Operation: Endurance

Quickie Review for a Quick Read

What I thought of Before the Missing Begins: Look y’all I read a novella that I actually like! Can you believe it? I have always said I do much better with novellas when I know the characters and that is the case with this one. I think it was a nice glimpse into what all Chris lost being MIA. I had no idea (and won’t give it away) but it makes me want to read his story even more. This is totally worth reading–you are going to want to know what is said in those 6 last paragraphs! TRUST ME! I already know that makes me want to reread book 2 just for Chris and his reactions to see if I look at them differently.

Evil grin because that is all I am going to say

  1. I think I’m with you. When it is characters we already know, novellas work much better. I think it’s because we don’t need the characters to be established. Hm… still need to pick up this series. So many… so little time…

  2. I’ve been reading a variety of novellas lately (I know, weird, right?) and, yanno, some are pretty darned good! Plus, I’d think it would be hard to go wrong with a cover like that. Rip off that shirt, girl!

  3. So I’m on a HUGE military kick at the moment, I definitely need to pick this series up. And yay for a novella you actually liked! I always do better with novellas that are part of a larger series where I know the characters too, then these little shorts become more of a treat than a frustration because they’re so brief:)

    • Plus awesome ebook pricing on these! Makes them that much more dreamier! I have loved them because they mix military w/thriller w/romance and w/smexy men (more than one). *sigh* I am so easy to make happy ๐Ÿ™‚
