First Thought when Finished:Redeemed by PC Cast seems to have not progressed far past the last book in the series. I realize the book is for young adults but it seems the language and actions associated with the adults in the book were immature.
Story Thoughts: I love that certain character got to reconnect. It was what should have happened and I was thrilled when it did! I like that Zoey and Aphrodite have grudgingly begun to see each other as friends as they fight the battle between the forces of Light and Dark.View Spoiler »I love that Kalona is reunited with vampire Goddess Nyx, but sad for his favorite Raven Mocker son Rephaim. « Hide Spoiler
Other Thoughts: I feel the House of Night series started to become slow moving in the 7th and 8th installment. I started to slowly lose interest in the series as the subjects did not seem to grow with the changing storyline. It seems as long as the series was, not many of the characters grew in that time. There are still relationships that are left unfinished in this book.
Final Thoughts:I do not feel the book wrapped the House of Night series up as the characters seemed unsure what to do at the end of Redeemed.View Spoiler »Zoey and her friends were starting a new Vampire High Council while splitting up to travel and visit the other House of Nights. Zoey will be starting her position as High Priestess at Tulsa’s House of Night. Will the bonds of friendship stretch and how strong are those bonds? « Hide Spoiler
Felicia Here: Thanks Mom for reviewing Redeemed by House of Night! I plan on reading this book since I read for the first 7 and very curious how it ends! I will say that I did a quick 50 page read before handing over the book. Dang PC Cast, she might have actually made Zoey grow up just a bit in this last one. From what I read, I am no longer disliking her. I am still Team Aphrodite though1 🙂
