#ReadAThon Hour 17 Mini-Challenge #FitReaders Do 24

Welcome to HOUR 17!  You are in the home stretch. Time to get that 2nd wind and push through what is one of the toughest hours in the challenge.

I am going to make this challenge really easy and it is for a great prize:

$15 Book of Your Choice from Book Depository (so open internationally)

All you have to do is fill in the giveaways tool linky with what your “24” was and for an extra entry tweet that you rocked it!

What is a FitReaders do 24 Challenge:

Take a few minutes and do 24 “active” things! These could include:

  • Steps
  • Pushups
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Situps
  • Laps around the Kitchen Counter
  • Deep Breaths
  • Hops
  • Use your imagination!

This is meant to get your blood pumping but not take up a whole lot of time! So what are you waiting for? GO!


I am reading for a local Nursing Home–I will be donating books (from my vast library) based on the following:

2 books for each book read
2 books for each hour listened (this is great for getting up and doing some exercise to keep the blood pumping)
2 books for each check-in post and instagram post
1 book for every 2 entries in my mini-challenge (Midnight)
2 books for each hour missed

  1. Ok, I am getting a little drowsy so I am doing 24 seconds of butt-kicks, 24 seconds of planking, and 24 jumping jacks! Plus a one up and down the stairs in my house. Then I’m going to make 24 oz. of coffee, just because I like the consistency of numbers in this post! 😉 Thanks for hosting this mini-challenge!

  2. Thanks for the giveaway! I actually got up and painted a room that was halfway painted while listening to American Gods. It’s a long book so it was a perfect way to get active and still feel like I was participating!

    What a lovely way to give back while doing this. Great idea!
