From Goodreads: On the run from authorities, gutsy Megan Moraine knows shadow wolves like herself have no place in this world. But she’s still prepared to do anything to protect her young charges. That resolve is tested when the trio is captured by Gabriel Robichaux. Everyone knows that Gabriel is a ruthless bounty hunter, a member of an elite group called the Enforcers. Why then is Megan so attracted to her enemy—a wolf who hunts his own people? A wolf whose languid, sexy drawl makes her dream the impossible?

Quick Review for a Quick Read: This book is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone. I had never read anything by Bonnie Vanak before but I will be in the future. The story flowed from beginning to end without ever dropping the pacing. In the Shadow Wolf, I was immediately drawn to Gabriel and his tortured soul. This was a man you just wanted to hold close and tell the rest of the world to screw off. I was glad that his mate was strong. Even though Megan had a minor slip (which honestly had more to do with her powers), she knew that she and Gabriel were good together. The ending was fantastic!
