Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian:  I received this book free on my Kindle and let me just say that it worked it’s magic. I ended up buying the rest of the series. This is a fantastic mix of romance, action, and supernatural. I like that “The Breed” explain their existence and that their “breedmates” have a choice in their lifemates. It was a fantastic read!   Author Website: http://www.laraadrian.com/

Review: The Manual by Steve Santagati: This really wasn’t a self-help book but worse than that it wasn’t even an entertaining book. It was more like a wish list for shallow guys and while I agree that most men would probably be like “oh yeah I would love that”. I have found that most have found that they require more than just the “superficial” hook-up but more to the point this was supposed to be a guide to men. I found it was more a guide to this one guy and he really did not seem all that interesting. I usually find these books at least entertaining, aka “The Rules” at least made me giggle and “He’s just not that into you” made me laugh out loud. This though was just plain hard to wade through without being offended for the “bad” boys I know. I think they would even read it and say this guy has no clue about what he is talking about. So, pick it up with the idea that this is all about what this guy wants (I mean he mentions women in glasses are hot at least 30 times so you get it is about […]

This is the second book in the series and I felt it was as good as the first. This book deals with finding out what kind of person you are when you discover things aren’t exactly what you thought they were. It deals with betrayal and also that you can sometimes trust people you did not think you can. I did feel as if they are beginning to make the heroin of the book a little too “all-powerful”. Review: Love Letters Of Great Men And Women by C. H. Charles I loved this collection of love letters, as they are possibly the most private and intimate thoughts of these talented individuals! Two of my favorites: 1)Victor Hugo in 1821 (just a snippet: This is the love which you inspire in me….Your soul is made to love with the purity and passions of angels;…..” 2)Duff Cooper in 1918 (just a snippet: …that I never see beauty without thinking of you or scent happiness without thinking of you” There are many great letters in this book and recommend it to any hopeful/hopeless romantic out there! I decided to fit in a little fun reading last night so I picked up one of the books that was recommended because I liked Twilight. I am far out of the age range that the book is marketed too but I enjoyed the story immensely. I keep in mind while reading these books that the “teenage” talk is because they are teenagers, so that does not get on my nerves. It was a great opening book to a series.
