A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein: I love this book of poems! It is one of my favorites from when I was a child. I recommend this to the young and old alike if you like to smile. Shel had a way of making everything be funny and relative to everyday life. Some of my favorites from this one: Monsters I’ve Met, Rock n Roll Band, The Meehoo with an Exactlywatt, Cloony the Clown, Union for Children’s Rights, and Kidnapped. Hungry Girl 200 under 200 Calories by Lisa Lillien: There were a ton of good tips in this book. I also enjoyed the creative uses of many different ingredients. This book had a little too many tofu recipes for me (I just can’t handle the texture) so too many of them I could not try. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes to try new things. Do not forget for those of us on WW, the points totals are listed on her website.   Author Website: http://www.hungry-girl.com/meet/index.php

Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook by WW: I actually picked up this cookbook a couple of weeks ago and while I never thought I would “read” a whole cookbook, I have managed to do just that with this one. I am currently trying the recipes that I think would appeal to me and there are tons to choose from. The layout is simple and the instructions are easy to follow. You can look up things by point value (in the back), by course (table of contents), or just flip through and look at the wonderful pictures in the book. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone who has recently started WW!

This is one of those books I picked up and can not tell you honestly why I did it! I am not a huge Coen Brothers fan, in fact I have only ever seen Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? and Raising Arizona. One of which I loved (Oh Brother) and the other of which I had a hard time watching till the end of the movie (Raising Arizona). This book basically breaks down every Coen film into what I guess you can call the “Coen Fables”. This book basically breaks down every Coen film into what I guess you can call the “Coen Fables”. It shows how each are there to teach you a lesson and really a lesson that can linked back to the bible. It would appear that both brothers are minor theologians in their own rights. It was well written and really kind of fun to read! While it probably won’t make me run out to rent Fargo, Barton Fink, or the The Big Lebowski; it might mean the next time they are on I won’t turn the channel.

I really enjoyed this book and love how it weaved in the original while adding the supernatural part to it. The zombies did not overwhelm the story but added a very fun antidote to what is basically the love story of Elizabeth and Darcy. I have to admit since I heard it was rumored that Natalie Portman is going to play Elizabeth in the movie version that I kind of read some parts going can she pull it off? I think she would be perfect for the role!
