My Forever and The Night by Linda Lael Miller Tattoo

My Forever and The Night by Linda Lael Miller Tattoo

It’s my birthday and I am going to share with you one of the crazy things I have done on my birthday (circa 2002)

How many of you know that Linda Lael Miller wrote a vampire series? I LOVE this series! It is written very much in the bodice ripper tradition of love, vampy-ness, and angst.  There is something about old school paranormals that still do it for me. Granted, I wouldn’t approve of the same actions in today’s heroes but give me a book from the 80s or 90s and I just swoon at the over-alphaness and non-political correctness of it all! The chest pumping men of yore just seem to still hold a special place in my heart.

I have mentioned a few times that I have tattoo based on this cover.  I finally was able to take a picture (not great) but here it is…

Do you guys have any tattoos based on something you have read?

Felicia is just your average gal from Texas that loves Audiobooks with a passion! She can wine them, dine them, and love them forever. Her favorite genres: Cozy Mysteries, Thrillers, Romance of all kinds, Zombies, Urban Fantasy, and the occasional Historical Fiction. You may also find her reading on her kindle when a book hasn't been released in audio form yet! In her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Tonks a beautiful Lab/Pyr mix (Farm Rescue), Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), and Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup). She also spends times with friends, family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.

Nice tat! No tats for me. I have thought about it, but still haven’t decided. I know me. I’ll either want something else or want to move it to another place on my body if I got one after a while. Can’t move it like you can artwork on the wall. LOL

Happy Birthday Felicia! Your tattoo is pretty, and I would love one myself, but well, I am just too afraid of needles and pain. No idea what I would get though.
I did not know that LLM has written a paranormal series, I will look if I have some in my enormous unread stack of her books.
Yes, 80′s alphas are definitely the early Christine Feehan. If you want to try some historicals, try the early Johanna Lindsey, those are real bodice rippers.

I can’t do needles (if I can see them) so I didn’t watch at all while they were doing my tat!

This series was written forever ago and while I love it. I don’t usually recommend it to people now. The men are totally old school alpha and would be annoying today.

I love Johanna Lindsey! I have several of hers on my keeper shelf!

I had no idea she’s written a vampire series Felicia! I thought she was sexy cowboys all the way:) I love your tattoo, I would totally get one if I wasn’t such a wimp. Needles are not my friend. I like thinking what I would get though, and something from one of my favorite books would definitely be on the short list!

  10. OMG you brought back some excellent memories, Aidan and Neely were my very first paranormal couple and this series was over the top but totally perfect for the time period.

Like you the overbearing alpha is just a bit more fun in hind sight but if read the 4 books in series today would probably go YUCK.

Happy Birthday Felicia, hope you have a great Tuesday! :-)

I had absolutely no idea Miller wrote a vampire series! Color me educated. And I love your tat! The blue roses are gorgeous plus, literary inspiration makes it even better.
