Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.
I am thankful to Karen E Olson and The Tattoo Shop Mystery series. This year I read Ink Flamingos and loved the stalker storyline. It was clever, quick-witted, fun, and smart. These really are among my favorite cozy mysteries.
Dee Carmichael, lead singer of the hot pop sensation, The Flamingos, has been one of Brett’s most dedicated customers – or was. Allergic to red dye, Dee has been discovered dead in her hotel room with a pink flamingo tattoo and surrounded by ink pots and needles – and a tall redhead was seen leaving the crime scene.
Now Brett has been branded as the prime suspect. This can’t be good for business. . . .
Meanwhile, a blog has been showcasing Dee’s deadly tattoo. Things get worse when pictures of Brett start appearing on the blog. Turns out someone isn’t merely following her, but impersonating her all over town.
Brett must act fast to find out who’s out to get her before the killer puts the dye in dying once again. . . .
I am thankful to Mary from The Book Swarm! I love this chica more than my favorite dessert. She reads a pluthera of different things and her speed date reviews are the best! She has great discussion topics and is always fun to talk too. We have similar tastes so I can always depend on her to introduce me to new authors (or new to me) and I am never disappointed with a book she recommends. In otherwords, she is a delight and should be on everyone’s RSS feed 🙂
During her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup), and Minerva a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Foster Fail). Gathering with friends and family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.
