Month of Thanks

Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.

Month of Thanks

I am thankful to Lara Adrian and her Midnight Breed Series.  This year brought Chase’s story in Darker After Midnight and what a game changer that book turned out to be.  I know that we are all anxiously counting down to next year when Edge of Dawn comes out.  Personally I can’t wait to see what this means to the Breed and their mates!

Month of Thanks: Lara Adrian and Supernatural Snark

The climactic novel in Lara Adrian’s New York Times bestselling Midnight Breed series—and her hardcover debut—Darker After Midnight invites readers to enter a thrillingly sensual world where danger meets desire.

In the dark of night, a blood war escalates within the hidden world of the Breed. After existing in secret for many long centuries, maintaining a fragile peace with the humans who walk beside them unaware, a single act of retaliation has put the entire vampire nation at risk of discovery. It falls to the Order—a cadre of Breed warriors pledged to protect their own and humankind alike—to stop Dragos, the power-mad vampire at the center of the conflict, before his push for domination can explode into catastrophe.

At the center of the Order’s quest is Sterling Chase, once a morally rigid enforcer of Breed law, now a warrior fallen from grace, whose biggest battle is the one he wages against his own savage nature. With addiction beckoning him toward eternal darkness, Chase’s path to redemption has never seemed more out of reach—until he finds himself drawn to a beautiful young woman who may be something much more than she seems . .

I am thankful for Jenny from Supernatural Snark!  I could go on and on about this chick.  She makes me smile, laugh so hard that I cry, she gives me spoilers (she knows I like them), and we have the best behind the scenes conversations about books.  She knows when to tell me to wait for the next book because the cliffie is going to make me out curse a sailor.  She also knows what reads will work for me and what won’t in YA (must have minimal angsty teenager and no love triangle and no cliffie of epic proportions).  She is just one amazing chick!

I have not read ANY Lara Adrian. Just another one of those authors I haven’t gotten around to yet.

I absolutely adore Jenny. She is an amazing blogger, writer, person and she captures the gist of stories so well and conveys her thoughts beautifully.

AHHHHH FELICIA!!!! Yesterday was a crazy day for me and I completely missed this post. YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY. Scratch that. My entire month:) Seriously. I may have teared up a little. What? I’m emotional this time of year ;-)

I’m so glad I have someone to talk to about book spoilers, and someone who understands that sometimes you just have to know exactly what happens before you can read a book all the way through:)

You just make me happy Felicia. I’m enormously thankful for you and all of my amazing blogger friends who left comments. <3 <3 <3
