Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.
I am thankful to discover Kristan Higgins this year! I had a fantastic time reading Somebody to Love and I know I will continue to read her books. This book was delightful from beginning to end. I highly recommend it to romance readers :)
After her father loses the family fortune in an insider-trading scheme, single mom Parker Welles is faced with some hard decisions. First order of business: go to Gideon’s Cove, Maine, to sell the only thing she now owns — a decrepit house in need of some serious flipping. When her father’s wingman, James Cahill, asks to go with her, she’s not thrilled — even if he is fairly gorgeous and knows his way around a toolbox.
Having to fend for herself financially for the first time in her life, Parker signs on as a florist’s assistant and starts to find out who she really is. Maybe James isn’t the glib lawyer she always thought he was. And maybe the house isn’t the only thing that needs a little TLC .
I am very thankful for Alexis at Reflections of a Bookaholic! She is a fellow Texan, a newly minted board certified Attorney, and a fellow foodie. We have bonded over food, books, and audiobooks. I think everyone should go by and tell her congratulations for passing the bar! It is pretty awesome to do something like that :)

I have never visited Alexis before. Thanks for pointing me in her direction! I have just recently found Kristan Higgins and I love her! I have read My One and Only and it was the first book that had brought tears to my eyes in awhile. I have Somebody to Love but haven’t read it yet. As it’s one of your favorites, that may have to change. ;)
I downloaded another Kristan Higgins and can’t wait to dig into it :)
