Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.
I am thankful to Kevin Hearne and his Iron Druid Chronicles. They make me belly laugh at times and cheer at others. They are probably some of the best audio books on the market (small shoutout to Luke Daniels brilliant work) and I recommend them to almost anyone. This year I read/listened to Tricked and to me it was another home run. The whole crew was just awesome and I love me some Trickster so that was even better. I am currently reading Trapped and so far I would call it a winner. So I guess I should thank him for both books this year!
Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert.
But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shapeshifters called skinwalkers. Just when the Druid thinks he’s got a handle on all the duplicity, betrayal comes from an unlikely source. If Atticus survives this time, he vows he won’t be fooled again. Famous last words.
I am thankful for Pam the Midnyte Reader for a million things! OMG y’all she is crazy talented, super funny, and a blast to hang out with. Yes you can be jealous that this is another person that I have met in person. She gave me brains y’all and that means we are bonded for life. I would not have had as much fun as I did in New Orleans had she not been there. She is one of my favorite people on the planet and everyone should get the chance to meet her. Your life will be much fuller for it!

Oh my God, I feel so stupid because I was just looking at your recap when I saw my name…about a week late! Thank you so much for the shout out. I feel incredibly blessed and honored to be included in this feature. And yes, now that we shared brains and body parts and t-shirts and beads, we are bonded for life. And Kevin Hearne is sooo funny!
Ok. I need to get my copy of Trapped like yesterday.
I think I already follow Midnyte Reader. I must make sure I reacquaint myself.
I’m waiting for Tricked to come available. I can’t wait to catch up. I’m glad to hear they didn’t disappoint. I’m very thankful for the advice that many gave me to read listen to this audio. Happy Thanksgiving!
Yahhooooo to BOTH of these fabulous peeps!
I got to meet this girl!
Oh and Kevin Herne? I so need to continue that series! Oberon!!!
Heading over to Pam’s blog to see what she is all about 🙂
She is pretty darn awesome! She dressed both Missie and I in New Orleans 🙂
I have got to read the Druid Chronicles! Everyone says how amazing this series is.
And I could not agree more about Pam!
It is probably the most fun you can have in a series 🙂 The humor is just spot-on!
I so agree about Kevin Hearne, I love the audiobooks so much. Luke is an awesome narrator. I am finishing up Hammered right now and then moving on to the next two! I love Atticus!
Luke is pretty awesome 🙂 Tricked was probably one of my favorites in the series 🙂 We get Loki in Trapped!
