Month of Thanks #18: Jess Haines and Lady Blue Jay

November 18, 2012 Month of Thanks 11

Month of Thanks

Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.

Month of Thanks

I am thankful for Jess Haines and her H&W Investigations series!  I have really enjoyed this series and the latest book, Stalking the Others, is one of my favorite reads of the year.  Jess is very clever in her writing and I enjoy the mystery in her books.  I am not always sure what is going to happen but I know that she will take me on one wild ride.  If you haven’t checked her out then you should!

Month of Thanks

Vampires, werewolves, mages–the Others are very real, and wreaking havoc in Shiarra Waynest’s life. But now, she’s returning the favor…

Once, she was one of the good guys–or as close as a New York P.I. can get. Then Shiarra Waynest was drawn into the world of the Others. Every faction has its own loyalties and agenda. And Shia’s recent betrayal by her ex-boyfriend means that she may be on the verge of becoming a rogue werewolf at the next full moon.

Of course, with all the threats against her, Shia’s not sure she’ll live long enough to find out. The enigmatic vampire Royce wants her back in his clutches, as do two powerful werewolf packs, along with the police. Instead of going into hiding, Shia is enlisting the aid of her enchanted hunter’s belt and every dirty P.I. trick she knows. If she’s going down, she’ll take out as many of her enemies as she can–and hope that in the process, she keeps whatever humanity she has left…

Month of Thanks

I am thankful to Lady Blue Jay aka Jayla!  She is studying to (or might have finished) a quest to become a YA Librarian.  She has such a passion for reading and creating that it is hard not to gravitate towards her blog.  She is fun, sassy, and always speaks her mind!  I love when people take the initiative to get the next generation reading and I can’t wait till she is in a library full time spreading her love reading. :)
