Hi Y’all! It is November and that is always the month I am reminded that there are tons of things that I am thankful for in my life. This year November will be known as the Month of Thanks. I am going to do 30 days of Thanks here on Geeky Bloggers Book Blog! Each day I will highlight one author (and the book they wrote that moved me) and one blogger (and their awesomeness) that I am thankful for! These are not in any particular order and by no means is 30 going to cover everyone that I love.
I am thankful to Patricia Briggs! Y’all called it that I would love her writing and you so were right on target. Remember that read-a-thon that was all Patricia Briggs? Oh wait, it was supposed to be many different authors but I ended up back to back reading the Mercy Thompson series. Yeah, I should hate y’all for that but alas I am in love with that world. I specifically want to give a shout out to Iron Kissed which killed me in the last 5 chapters. I was SOBBING y’all! Seriously books that bring you to tears should come with warning labels!
I could smell her fear, and it satisfied something deep inside me that had been writhing under her cool, superior gaze. I curled my upper lip so she could get a good look at my sharp teeth. I might only weigh thirty or so pounds in my coyote shape, but I was a predator…
Mechanic Mercy Thompson can shift her shape – but not her loyalty. When her former boss and mentor is arrested for murder and left to rot behind bars by his own kind, it’s up to Mercy to clear his name, whether he wants her to or not.
Mercy’s loyalty is under pressure from other directions, too. Werewolves are not known for their patience, and if Mercy can’t decide between the two she cares for, Sam and Adam may make the choice for her…
I am thankful for Aurian for her awesomeness! I don’t remember how we stumbled across each other but I am so glad that we did. She reads a little bit of everything and she reads A LOT! Her and Christi are my reading heroes! I love that she has a love for Cozy Mysteries and writes reviews that I can gauge whether I am going to like a book or not off of them. She is so darn sweet and is always helping when I need it! I *heart* her to pieces and think everyone else should too!
During her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup), and Minerva a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Foster Fail). Gathering with friends and family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.
