Quick Thoughts: This wasn’t my favorite in the series but it was still a ton of fun. I think it is because I wasn’t overly attached to Max going into the story. By the end though I was really wrapped up in his and Merry’s relationship. In an odd winding road kind of way they were perfect for each other. I think they both needed to see (in different ways) that family isn’t what defines you. I can’t wait for Pepper’s story. I think I am looking forward to it as much as I was Kimmie (and that one did not disappoint).

I have listened to the entire series on audiobook. Karen does great with quirky unusual characters and this series is chalk full of them. You won’t go wrong picking up it on audio!
