First Thought when Finished: Mercy Blade finalized this for me: I am #TeamJane #TeamBeast ! They are too good for both guys!

Overall Thoughts: Since I am late to the game with this series, this will be more of quick points about what keeps me going and what I am over with this series. I am over both boys! Seriously, Jane/Beast is better than both of them and if she is with them for more than Smexy times then she is settling (I reserve the right to change my mind later but right now anytime it is about the relationship–I kind of tune out). The mystery and the world building were phenomenal in Mercy Blade: once again! I am not sure how Faith dreams out these tricky situations but I am so glad she does. I would totally read a thriller by her because I am sure she would write a wonderful killer. Overall, I am still in love with this series but I do see the love triangle wearing on me!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Khristine Hvam / Length: 14 hrs and 43 mins

I may sound like a broken record but Khristine is rocking my socks off with her narration. In Mercy Blade, I have to say I was super impressed with her male voices. She nailed them!

Final Thoughts: I need to squeeze in book 4 soon 🙂

  1. I’m even later to the game than you are with the Jane Yellowrock series – I haven’t read any of them yet!! But I really hope 2014 will be the year, since every mention of the series I see is a good one. Hope you keep on enjoying!

  2. Ha, I read your review early today and apparently my thoughtful and delightful comment did not post..or I have had too many coffees and am slowly losing my mind….hmm, it is better not to think on it too much..LOL You my friend read so many fantastic series and I have more book ones in my tbr pile due to you. In fact 5 of my Take Control reads are the direct result of your thoughts…LOL Adding this one to my list.

  3. I have heard great things about this series and have it on my TBL for a while. I think after I finish with the series I’m listening right now (Chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara, also narrated by the awesome Khristine Hvam) I will continue with this series.

    • The romance is such a small part of this series BUT in this one it kind of takes center stage a bit in the middle. It isn’t a typical triangle (though hard to explain) but still my least favorite part.
