Tough-minded Jessica Trent's sole intention is to free her nitwit brother from the destructive influence of Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain. She never expects to desire the arrogant, amoral cad. And when Dain's reciprocal passion places them in a scandalously compromising, and public, position, Jessica is left with no choice but to seek satisfaction ...

Damn the minx for tempting him, kissing him ... and then forcing him to salvage her reputation! Lord Dain can't wait to put the infuriating bluestocking in her place --- and in some amorous position, And if that means marriage, so be it! --- though Sebastian is less than certain he can continue to remain aloof ... and steel his heart to the sensuous, headstrong lady's considerable charms

First Thought when Finished: Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase: My dear friends, “I dare you to try!” *nod nod wink wink*Read It File It: Lord of Scoundrels really was just yummy historical goodness. This will go on my reread shelf. I will fall in love with Sabastian over and over again. There shall be no doubt about it. Jessica is wonderfully matched to him and can hold her own. She truly is the minx to his scoundrel!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated by: Kate Reading /Length: 11 hrs and 39 mins

Kate did an EXCELLENT job. She is a really great narrator and I think historicals are her bread and butter. I would totally recommend this one on audio. Final Thought: Sabastian and Jessica will make you swoon with delight!

  1. This is one of my all time favorite historical romances. I’m not sure about the audio, as you know I can’t listen to smexy times with a straight face, but the book, that one I’ll read over and over again. Looooove it!

  2. I have read this book, but was not as enthusiastic over it as my best friend. I do know lots of people consider this their favourite.

  3. Historical romances are my fav. kind of romances, especially regency era ones. This one sounds really good and I think I have read a book by this author before and liked it. (so many authors in this genre I can’t keep I haven’t been brave enough to listen to a romance on audio but I did order some for review sooooo I will see how it goes. πŸ™‚

    • LOL Historical Romance on audio is my favorite romance on audio. I think it must be that most narrators will have an accent πŸ™‚ This one you might have read before–it is a rerelease πŸ™‚

  4. I’ve recently been seduced into historical romance by the Brother’s Sinister series via Courtney Milan. This sounds like another one I should give a try.

    • Hands down Milan’s Sinister series is AMAZING! This one is a little more old school but really good πŸ™‚ If you like Milan’s then you would also like Jennifer Asheley’s series.
