Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley
Narrator: Angela Dawe
Length: 9 hrs and 9 mins
Date Read: 2013
Genre: Historical, Romance
Only one man could match a lady like this—scandal for scandal.
Six years ago, eighteen-year-old Lady Isabella Scranton scandalized all of London by eloping the night of her come-out ball with the notorious rake, Lord Mac Mackenzie. After three turbulent years of marriage, she scandalized London once again—this time by leaving him.
Now Mac has resurfaced, every bit as charismatic, and with one goal: to seduce Isabella back into his life and his bed even if it means acting like a real gentleman. But when Isabella rises to the challenge of posing nude for Mac's erotic paintings, her pent-up hunger for the decadent rake is exposed as well, and she finds herself unable to resist the smooth strokes of an artist at work.
But someone's been watching them—dangerously close. This ingenious forger with designs on Mac's paintings also sets his sights on Isabella herself. Deciding to become Isabella's protector, Mac vows to never leave her side, whether his independent and proud lady likes it or not.

First Thought when Finished: Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage made me smile, laugh, cry, grrr, and in the end grin like a Cheshire cat!
Overall Thoughts: I loved, loved, loved, loved Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage. I was afraid that I wouldn’t like Mac but that man was so swoon-worthy and damaged that one couldn’t help but fall hard! Isabella was so strong and I appreciated her want to protect herself despite loving Mac. She made him fight for her and dang it that made me love them more. This was an emotional story (so far both books in this series have been) but the payout was worth it!
Narrated by Angela Dawe /Length 9 hrs and 9 mins
So y’all know I call her Angela “freaking” Dawe already so there isn’t much more that I can say! She freaking rocks the narration and is one of my all around favorite narrators!
During her non-reading time you can find her hanging with her rescue furr children named after book characters: Lizzie a beautiful cattle dog mix (Pound Pup), Cinder a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Pound Pup), and Minerva a beautiful Shep/Pitt mix (Foster Fail). Gathering with friends and family, attending conventions, watching movies/tv shows, rooting for the 49rs, and crocheting.
